Recipes for Tiffin
SPICY VEG TOAST
- 4 Slices of bread.
- 4 Medium boiled potatoes.
- Cup finely chopped vegetable [Onion, Capsicum, Tomatoes Etc]
- Tbsp Chaat masala (Salt to taste)
- 2 Tbsp finely chopped ginger.
- 2 Tbsp chopped coriander.
- Oil for shallow frying.
Mash the potatoes .Add all the vegetables, spices and coriander to the mashed potatoes.
Take a bread slice and cut it in the desired shape, e.g. - cut 1 bread in 4 squares.
Spread mixture on both sides of the bread .Heat a non stick pan or griddle and grease it lightly with oil.
Cook on the both sides till golden brown just like pancakes using a little oil.
Serve with chutney.
APPLE SALAD
- 6 Apples.
- ½ Cup Resins.
- ½ Tbsp Cinnamons.
- ¼ Cup white grape Juice.
- Peel the Apples.
Place them into a bowl and mix all the other ingredients.
CHEESE CUTLETS
- 2 Tbsp grated processed cheese.
- ¼ Cup grated sweet corn kernels.
- ¼ Cup grated carrot.
- ¼ Cup grated cabbages.
- 1 Tbsp Butter.
- 1 Tbsp Grated garlic.
- ½ Cup boiled peeled & mashed potatoes(Salt to taste).
- ½ Tbsp Oil for cooking.
Heat butter in a broad non stick pan, Add corn, Carrots, Cabbage and Garlic mix and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
Remove from flame, Transfer to a bowl & allow it to cool.
Once cooled add potatoes, cheese & salt, mix well.
Divide this into 6 equal portions and shape into small round flat cutlets.
Heat the oil in a broad non stick pan, place the cutlets & cook on a medium flame.
Till the cutlets turn light brown in colour from both the sides.
Serve with tomato ketchup.
BANANA SANDWICH
- 4 slices French bread.
- 2 slices into circles.
- 4 Tbsp Honey.
- 4 Tbsp Peanut Butter.
*Butter as needed for toasting.
*Slice the Bananas into circles and drizzle honey over it. Gently toss it together.
*Apply peanut butter on one side of each of bread slice and speared the banana mixture over it.
*Top it with the other slice of bread.
*Heat a griddle, add little butter and toast the sandwiches till both sides are brown and crispy.
